About the role

As the Aquatics Program Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality swim education programs that help people of all ages build confidence and skills in the water. Working closely with the Learn to Swim Supervisor, you'll support the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of our aquatic programs while ensuring a safe, welcoming and customer-focused experience for all centre users. You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of swimming programs, contribute to program growth and help create positive experiences that keep our community active and engaged.

Remuneration

$67,037.88 - $75,937.16 + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

1. Austswim instructors Certificate or equivalent.

2. Current Resuscitation Certificate.

3. Experience in instructing all levels/age groups of Learn to Swim (LTS).

4. Experience in the supervision of LTS programs on deck.

5. Three of the below accredited modules are required:

  • Competitive Strokes
  • Infants Aquatics
  • Access & Inclusion
  • Adults
  • Pool Lifeguard

OR

  • Two of the above accreditation in addition to Royal Life Workplace Supervisor / Austswim Assessor Accreditation
  • In addition to demonstrated knowledge via workplace assessment in:
  • Wetdeck Training
  • LINKS Competency
  • Customer Service
  • Active Participation on the roster
