Your next adventure awaits… Central Queensland Radiology is looking for new team members for our practices in Rockhampton, Australia. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance available.
About Your New Hometown
The city of Rockhampton sits on the Tropic of Capricorn, only 30 minutes to the coast. A regional centre with 80,000 people, you have all the benefits of city living (a university and educational opportunities, great healthcare facilities, affordable housing, an airport, and railway for when you want to travel further afield) and none of the negatives (no traffic jams, no pollution).
Rocky (as the locals call it) is a friendly town, is known as the Beef Capital of Australia. And the weather is warm and sunny all year round - we really don't have much of a winter at all, with over 300 days of sunshine every year!
We believe in work/life balance, so you'll have time to go for a run along the mighty Fitzroy River before or after work, head to the local swimming pool to swim laps, or attend a fitness class at the gym.
The team at CQR also get together socially for drinks or dinner or a game of mini golf, along with participating in community events like the Rockhampton River Run or the Yeppoon Running Festival.
Spend your weekends exploring Central Queensland - swim in the rockpools at Blackdown Tableland National Park; go fishing on the Fitzroy River; explore the Botanical Gardens and heritage listed buildings; visit the Art Gallery or explore the local indigenous culture at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre; hike or mountain bike Mount Archer for some of the best views of the area; go island hopping on the Southern Great Barrier Reef, snorkel the Reef at Great Keppel Island; venture underground to explore the Capricorn Caves; or spend the weekend fossicking in the gem fields located inland from Rockhampton… There's so much to do in Central Queensland!

About Your New Team and New Role
Central Queensland Radiology (CQR) is part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX Group), a leading provider of quality diagnostic imaging services through its highly skilled medical professionals and investment in its technology platforms. As one of the largest radiology providers in Australia, Integral Diagnostics has established a strong reputation for quality, excellence, and innovation.
CQR has four clinic practices on the Capricorn Coast at the leading Public and Private hospitals. We have a team of well-respected and friendly Radiologists in practice daily. Our technical and admin teams work together to ensure a high level of patient care is delivered every day.
With your diverse skills and experience, you will be performing general, obstetric, vascular, and musculoskeletal examinations - training in these specialties can be provided to grow your skill base, if required. Experience with Samsung, GE or Canon equipment is highly regarded.
Our Sonography team is headed by Sara Gorman, who was born and raised in Rockhampton. Sara is passionate about patient care and diagnostic excellence and encouraging team members to continue to develop their sonography skills across their career. Outside of work, Sara plays social team sports, is involved in the Surf Life Saving Club, loves doing outdoorsy things, and can tell you where the best bars and restaurants are in town.
Why work for CQR?
We know that picking up and moving halfway around the world is a big decision, and so we want to make it as easy as possible for you.
We offer visa sponsorship on a Temporary Skills Shortage visa, a relocation allowance, and 4 weeks of temporary housing in Rockhampton while you find your feet. We'll also help you through the process of applying for a tax file number, opening a bank account, and setting up a superannuation fund - all the paperwork things that can be hard to navigate when you are in a new country.
We also offer:
- 5 weeks of annual leave each year (so that you have time to explore your new country!)
- Reimbursement of your professional membership with the Australian Sonographers Association and ASAR registration
- A professional development program that includes sponsorship to attend conferences; and
- Discounts on private health insurance and gym memberships with Fitness Passport
