AIN (Assistant in Nursing) (Current Employee) – Shoalwater WA – 1 November 2017
Plenty of opportunities for futher education lots of short coarse and chances to move into different fields understanding facility management good balance of home life and work most staff easy to work with close to home
Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) – Shoalwater WA – 22 September 2017
they work u like a dog and the CEO has no interest in staff or there workload .. all about making money. You have no protection against family abuse or patient abuse it's either like it or get out .. for any person desperate for work u would be better off working on your knees than working for aegis ... would not recommend this place ever for staff or relatives
No pros only management
Over worked under paid have to deal with abuse with no support
Assistant in Nursing (Current Employee) – Greenfields WA – 22 March 2017
A typical day for me involves the care of elderly residents , be it working on the floor, attending to toileting , feeding , getting ready for bed, changing continence aids, or if I am doing the medication round, I can have up to 54 residents to administer medications too. They job can be physically taxing some times, due to such tight schedules which require exceptional time management skills or you would not be able to complete your work load. The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction with the residents it is very rewarding and makes it all worth while.
Nice residents, good work mates, located close to home.
unsociable hours, not enough time to spend with residents.
Assistant in Nursing (Former Employee) – Perth, WA – 30 January 2016
I love working with the elderly and always being able to have a chat and a story to be told, the staff were welcoming and were always offering to help when stuck, the facility itself is very clean and it has a beautiful exterior aswell
