Strong stable company
Engineer (Former Employee) –  Northridge, CA22 February 2018
Great place to work at if you want a stable job. Great people. Easy going pace but FDA regulated so once in a while it gets tense and busy. But because its slow paced, your career advancement is slow paced. Better than working in defense but not as fast as software tech companies.
Pros
Stability
Cons
Slow career advancement

If you like being a Jack of All Trades
Network Engineer/Analyst - Level 3 (Current Employee) –  Boulder, CO17 February 2018
Really don't care for the attitude of management that you "need" to be a jack of all trades. Doesn't really appreciate the hard work it take to be certified in an area of a career field when they really just want a technical laborer. More concerned about covering for the incompetence of the sale teams then making sure we deploy a quality product.
Pros
Flex hours.
Cons
Unexpected travel.

Offers good environment for career growth
Principal Quality Engineer (Current Employee) –  Littleton, MA17 February 2018
At the engineering level, Medtronic offers plenty of opportunities for those who are inspired to take on challenges to make improvements through collaboration with cross functional groups. As with most big companies it can be slow to make change in many areas but when critical problems arise above the director level, it has the horsepower and resources to come to quick resolution efficiently. I've found that if you are willing to put in the work, you will be recognized for the effort.
Pros
Satisfaction in contributing to human welfare, Pay, benefits
Cons
Some projects could run more efficiently with more advanced quality planning.

Production Operator (Former Employee) –  Irvine California16 February 2018
I was here for a couple months as I needed 1,500 quick. I didn’t like the job from the start. Boring, no room for improvement. No life outside of this job. No time for school or anything after work as the hours are from 5am-3:15. No parking on company property, must take shuttle van to and from parking.
Pros
Free food sometimes
Cons
Long hours

Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Connecticut16 February 2018
Management is constantly changing and corporate does not care about their employees. I had multiple managers and coworkers come in and out of my territory. it is a revolving door and when your done... good luck competing in the same industry as big blue. Having said that it all depends on who you work with!
