The GEM ('Grow, Enhance, Motivate') programme involves implementing a best practice approach to coaching and performance management across the contact centres and retail outlets within Telstra. A senior, skilled & talented Operations Manager is required to lead the system development & support elements of this high visibility initiative.
You will manage & supervise the GEM Systems Support and Development team. Working with the GEM business owners to prioritise and schedule the upcoming programme of development work you will take overall accountability for the GEM system being developed to functionality and quality requirements of the business owners.
Key to your success will be your ability to represent essential operational IT concepts to a business audience in a conceptually accessible manner and using natural language, as well as listening to and understanding the businesses requirements and then aligning the various elements of the GEM Operations area to ensure optimal business outcomes. Exceptional stakeholder & employee management skills will be required in this organisationally dynamic environment.
You will need strong budgeting and financial management skills, strong negotiation and problem solving skills, and excellent verbal, written communication and time management skills.
You will have extensive experience of deploying systems and the process management around that, as well as expert understanding of industry systems development, testing and support standards.
