Reporting directly into the Head of Service & Operations an exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Manager, Wollongong Operations to be responsible for the end to end accountability for all Wollongong based administration for Superannuation & Investment products, consistent with ANZ policies and legislative requirements.
In this challenging role you will lead a team of approximately 8 direct reports including Operations Managers who are accountable for all aspects of the product life cycle (new business, mantainance, withdrawals) and for liaison with projects and IT on changes to those products. Your focus will be on timeliness, quality and efficiency.
Specifically, your main responsibilities will be to:
Meet service commitments in terms of timliness and quality
Drive improvements in service to exceed customer expectations and not fall behind competitor offerings
Partner with front line teams to build a culture and processes which match our service commitments
Meet agreed expense budgets, balancing both business and financial goals
Meet agreed FTE budget
Initiate and drive initiatives which lead to lower unit costs in the medium to long term
Ensure all processes are robust, compliant and "audit ready"
Maintain a service improvement culture, resulting in standardisation, quality, efficiency, speed and reduced risk
Manage unit cost trends
Consistently achieve SLA actions
Drive initiatives to improve overall customer service
Recruit, develop and lead the team as well as focusing on building employee engagement and succession planning
Use regular monitoring of processes to identify operating errors and risks. Address, escalate as required, using the appropriate incident raising process
To secure this exciting opportunity, you will need the following:
Substantial experience in or working within an operations environment
Previous experience in business management roles
Experience leading managers of teams
Demonstrated process improvement experience
Strong collaboration, relationship, networking and communication skills
Understanding of the dynamics of a third party distribution model
Educational qualifications in a related business discipline
An attractive salary and benefits will be provided in a fast paced, friendly team environment. This role will permanently be based in our Wollongong office with occasional travel to the Sydney office required at times.
