The Opportunity

As a Communications and Customer Service Officer, you'll be at the frontline of VicGrid's engagement with communities, rightsholders, landholders, industry stakeholders and the broader public. You'll play a key role in helping people navigate VicGrid's projects, programs and activities, managing a high volume of enquiries and ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate and consistent information. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where your communication skills, customer focus and ability to build positive relationships will help strengthen trust and support meaningful engagement across Victoria.

What you will deliver

• Be the first point of contact for communities, rightsholders, landholders and partners and stakeholders, providing responsive, high-quality support across phone, email and online channels
• Deliver clear and trusted advice, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate and consistent information about VicGrid's projects, programs and priorities
• Build strong internal partnerships to coordinate responses, resolve complex enquiries and help deliver a seamless customer experience
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying trends, capturing feedback and helping enhance engagement, communication and customer service across VicGrid

What you will bring

• A passion for customer service and engagement, with experience building positive relationships and delivering great outcomes in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise and audience-friendly messages
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability, enabling you to build trust, navigate competing priorities and provide sound advice under pressure
• A well-organised and proactive approach, with experience managing high enquiry volumes, maintaining accurate records and using CRM or stakeholder management systems effectively.
• Experience in government, infrastructure, energy, utilities or other community-facing environments, along with qualifications in communications, journalism or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
