About your Role
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide specialist sexual health services across both clinic and outreach settings, helping to prevent, diagnose and manage sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs), while promoting education, early intervention and community wellbeing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing STI and BBV screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up
  • Delivering contact tracing and partner notification in line with current clinical guidelines
  • Conducting opportunistic and targeted sexual health screening
  • Providing sexual and reproductive health education, including HIV prevention, PrEP and PEP support
  • Delivering outreach services to improve access for Aboriginal communities
  • Working closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners to provide culturally safe care
  • Coordinating recalls, reminders and follow-up programs
  • Developing culturally appropriate health promotion resources and community education initiatives
  • Supporting and mentoring clinical staff in sexual health best practice
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to reporting and quality improvement activities
To be successful, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in sexual health nursing, including STI and BBV screening, treatment and management
  • A commitment to delivering culturally safe, trauma-informed care
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working within primary healthcare or multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong clinical documentation and organisational skills
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
