At Claro, we help people with complex needs live more independent and confident lives. We set the standard for specialist disability services, delivering excellence in complex support. With 30 years of experience and national coverage, we provide the right homes, supports, and transitions guided by expertise and delivered with care.

What makes this role exciting

  • You’ll work with people who have big, real world needs, from mobility and medical care to daily routines, communication, and fun activities.
  • Every client is a unique story. You’ll tailor supports to their goals, vibes, routines, values, and culture.
  • You’ll team up with families, medical professionals, and other support workers to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Shifts flexible with your day, and you’ll build genuine relationships, not just checklists

What you’ll do

  • Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
  • Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
  • Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
  • Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
  • Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
  • Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Who we’re looking for

  • A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul.
  • Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.
  • Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.
  • Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.
  • Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.
  • Values fit: Bring Energy, Nurture and Care, Act with Integrity, Listen and Connect in action.
  • Complex care experience or training: Manual handling, PEG feed, medication administration, catheter care and wound care

What are the shifts

  • Monday - Friday 5.30pm to 8pm

+ additional hours available for client in nearby Waikiki

What you’ll get (the good stuff)

  • Paid induction and training when you start
  • Paid travel between client shifts (minimum distance applies)
  • Real-impact, person-centered work that’s meaningful day-to-day.
  • Employee referral bonus to the value of $300
  • Tailored onboarding for each client and ongoing support from a clinical team.
  • Flexible scheduling to fit your life while serving clients well.
  • A kind, collaborative team that values your voice and growth.
  • Competitive pay and clear paths to deepen your skills and roles.
  • A workplace that lives our values every day, in every interaction.
  • Employee of the month

We are a values-led organisation, we bring energy, act with integrity, nurture and care and we listen and connect. Our values demonstrate our commitment to our people, customers, and community, and define who we are, what we do, and how we do it. When we come together, we shine.
