Your new role
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving the financial operations and strategy, while supporting information technology functions of the company. This role requires a strong background in finance and accounting and a sound understanding of IT systems changes. Additionally, strong analytical skills and reporting capabilities are essential. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of these key areas to support the overall success of the organisation.Some key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the business has everyday performance analysis and reporting metrics for sales, margin, inventory and production.
- Manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
This company is looking for an experienced and qualified individual with extensive experience in Finance and Accounting.
Key skills will include:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. A master's degree is a plus.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Proven experience (5+ years) in finance and accounting in wholesale, manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, HR policies and practices, and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong sales, margin, inventory and production metrics reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll laws & Australian awards.
- Familiarity with IT systems and applications, including network infrastructure, hardware, software, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
