Actuarial Consulting Intern

What can you expect?

An actuarial consulting internship with Mercer Consulting gives you the opportunity to spend two months immersed in actuarial consulting work across superannuation (defined contribution and defined benefit), insurance in superannuation and friendly societies. You will learn consulting tools and techniques, assist with client work, and engage in thought leadership projects with experienced industry consultants.

The paid internship runs between 23 November 2026 and 22 January 2027 , with the possibility for future opportunities as a Graduate Analyst, which provides a great starting point for a career as an actuarial consultant!

You will be a key team member:

  • Currently in the penultimate year of a relevant undergraduate degree (actuarial, mathematics, data science), with a view to developing a career as a consultant.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership, paying attention to detail, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and ability to present clearly and confidently.
