About the role

The Administration Officer provides high-quality administrative support to the Hospital in The Home (HITH) and Consultation Liaison (CL) services within Metro North Mental Health - The Prince Charles Hospital. The role acts as a key point of contact for staff, consumers and their families, supporting the effective delivery of mental health services through professional, responsive and confidential administrative assistance.

The successful candidate will coordinate a range of administrative functions including reception services, consumer clinic support, patient admissions and discharges, medical records management, meeting coordination and the maintenance of clinical and administrative information systems. The role works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery and a positive experience for consumers and stakeholders.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide professional reception and customer service support, responding to enquiries from staff, consumers and families in a courteous and timely manner.
Manage medical records, patient administration processes and clinic support functions while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with relevant procedures.
Utilise a range of electronic systems and databases to enter, manage and retrieve clinical and administrative information.
Provide administrative support for meetings, appointments, correspondence and general office operations to support effective service delivery.
Build positive relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders while demonstrating initiative, adaptability and strong organisational skills.
