Salary range: $39.22 to $45.00 per hour, inclusive of 20% casual loading + 13.5% superannuation.

About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by supporting the Youth Programs Team to deliver a range of youth focused creative, recreational and wellbeing activities primarily at the Youth Arts and Recreation Centre and where required, externally in the community.

Role accountabilities include:

• Support the delivery of a safe, welcoming and engaging Open Access Program at the Youth Arts and Recreation Centre, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of creative, recreational and wellbeing-focused programs and activities that encourage young people to connect, participate and thrive.
• Build positive relationships with young people, identify their interests and needs, and contribute to the development of responsive programs and activities.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including daily activity logs, statistical data, evaluations, financial information and other program documentation.
• Promote City of Hobart Youth Programs, provide reception and customer service support, and assist with the delivery of community events and external youth activities.
