Role Description:

We have an exciting temporary opportunity for an Aircraft Life Support Fitter to join our team at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW.

You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining aircrew life support equipment to defence standards. This hands-on role supports Fast Jet operations by ensuring flying equipment readiness, troubleshooting faults, and fitment of pilot flying clothing for optimal safety.

Core Duties:

• Service and maintain aircrew life support equipment to defence standards.
• Support Flying operations with hands-on technical expertise and equipment readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in life support systems with minimal turnaround time.
• Fit, test, and adjust pilot flying clothing for optimal safety and comfort.
• Deliver responsive customer support to pilots and operational teams.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and equipment status.

Essential Skills:

• Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills for customer and pilot interaction.
• Experience with life support systems or aviation equipment highly regarded.
• Defence clearance eligibility.
