The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of high-quality pathology services by performing specimen reception and pre-analytical laboratory activities, ensuring specimens are processed accurately and efficiently to support patient diagnosis and care.
What you'll do
In this role you will perform pre-analytical laboratory processes, receive and process pathology specimens, maintain accurate records and documentation, assist with specimen referral and transport activities, support quality assurance and accreditation requirements, contribute to service improvement initiatives, utilise laboratory information systems, and work collaboratively with laboratory staff to ensure efficient pathology operations.

Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
Can work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
Has strong data entry and computer skills or the ability to quickly learn
Works well independently and as part of a team
Is eager to learn and build a career within pathology services
