Preservation Officer
Our vacancy
In the role of Preservation Officer, you will support the preservation, conservation, and digitisation of a wide range of physical and digital collection materials by undertaking preventive care activities, basic treatments, and digitisation tasks. You will respond to incoming requests, maintain accurate documentation, adhere to quality standards, and make use of a range of tools, equipment and software. Working collaboratively with Conservators and colleagues, the role contributes to team workflows, project delivery, continuous improvement initiatives and the safe handling of collection materials.

There is currently one permanent, part-time (0.6FTE), 45 hours per fortnight) vacancy.

- A current CV with two work related referees (with one referee who is a current line manager preferred).

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the State Library of WA which arise within 12 months of the recruitment process being endorsed. Future vacancies may be considered to fill fixed term, permanent, part-time or full-time or casual roles.
