Animal Farmyard Attendant
$25.88 per hour | Part Time
Paradise Country, Oxenford, Gold Coast

The Opportunity
Paradise Country is seeking a passionate Animal Farmyard Attendant to join our domestic animal team. This hands-on role is focused on the daily care, welfare, and presentation of a variety of farm animals within a working farm environment, while delivering warm, genuine country hospitality to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
With plenty of variety in your day, you’ll:
  • Provide high standards of animal care and welfare across a range of domestic farm animals
  • Conduct daily health and welfare checks, monitoring behaviour and identifying any concerns
  • Prepare feeds and ensure animals are maintained in excellent condition
  • Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented animal enclosures
  • Assist in preparing animals for guest interactions and displays
  • Share your knowledge with guests through friendly interactions and presentations
  • Contribute to a welcoming, authentic farm experience through country-style hospitality
  • Follow all safety procedures and animal handling protocols to ensure the wellbeing of animals, guests, and team members
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring a genuine passion for animal care and farm life, along with:
  • Certificate III in Exhibited Animal Care or similar is essential
  • Previous experience working with and caring for domestic or farm animals is essential
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team in a hands-on environment
  • Experience conducting animal welfare checks, including with young or nursery animals is essential
  • Strong observation skills and the ability to identify and escalate animal husbandry concerns
  • A friendly, down-to-earth approach with a natural ability to provide country-style guest service
  • Confidence engaging with guests and delivering educational talks or demonstrations
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
  • Flexibility to work across weekends and school holiday periods
