About the role

As a Support Worker at Australian Community Aged Care, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our elderly clients in the South East suburbs of Melbourne. In this casual position, you will work closely with our clients to help them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation
  • Engaging clients in recreational activities and social outings to improve their overall wellbeing
  • Closely monitoring clients' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
  • Advocating for clients' needs and ensuring they receive the highest quality of care
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar caregiving role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of others
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
