Full job description
Heatherbrae's Pies is on the lookout for an energetic and committed Junior Pastry Chef Apprentice who is keen to establish a rewarding career at our Ourimbah store on the Central Coast.
You would be working with talented industry professionals using the freshest meats, vegetables and diary products to produce premium quality foods.
With our Gluten Free Cafe now open, you will have the opportunity to learn the art of gluten free baking as well as the craft of traditional baking.
You will learn:

How to put together recipes and cook gourmet pie fillings.

To prepare a range of pastry types; Puff, Crust, Shortbread etc.

How to prepare different bread types, white, fruit, banana bread etc.
-
To prepare different cakes types, custard tarts, vanilla slice, donuts, sweet pies etc.
About you:

Have a respectful and mature approach to working in a team environment.

Willingness to learn and develop your skills with a hands on approach to learning.

Have the ability to reliably get to and from the workplace and TAFE.

It is essential that you are a reliable member of staff and demonstrate the Heatherbrae's Pies commitment to quality.
We prepare and bake seven days a week and you would be rostered over a five-day week commencing 5.00am daily. With time allocated for TAFE to learn in a practical classroom environment.
