Reports to: Head Chef
Location: Warner on the Bay - Forbes , East hills location, Chipping Norton

Job Summary:

The Chefs is responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry) and ensuring that it operates efficiently and professionally. This role involves food preparation, quality control, and supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in maintaining high culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty.
  • Assist in the creation and development of new dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff or commis chefs within your section.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of all ingredients to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with other CDPs and kitchen team members for smooth service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook/Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to manage a section independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for food and attention to detail.
