Now Hiring: Waiter/Waitress – Join the Fiesta at Chechos Wollongong!

Location: Wollongong, NSW

Position Type: Casual | Full time | part time | Start Immediately

Are you ready to bring the heat?

Chechos is Wollongong’s go-to Mexican bar and restaurant, serving up delicious contemporary tapas and tacos, spicy cocktails, and good vibes. We’re on the hunt for energetic and friendly front-of-house legends to join our vibrant crew!

Your Mission:

  • Serve guests with a smile (and maybe a side of guac)
  • Take orders quickly and accurately
  • Deliver food and drinks with flair and efficiency
  • Create a welcoming and fun atmosphere
  • Handle payments and operate the POS system
  • Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to keep service flowing
  • Know the menu – and recommend the perfect margarita
  • Jump in wherever needed – we’re a team!

You’ll be awesome at this if you:

  • Are outgoing, positive, and love a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Thrive under pressure (like a jalapeño in hot sauce)
  • Have previous hospitality or waitstaff experience (not essential – we train!)
  • Can work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Are 18+ with RSA certification
