Experienced Barista / All-Rounder – Part-Time or Casual

3–5 days per week | Weekend availability essential | Immediate start

Pool Coffee is a busy coastal café opposite Mahon Rock Pool in Maroubra. We’re looking for an experienced barista/all-rounder to join our team long-term.

You’ll need to be confident making Australian coffee, comfortable working in a fast-paced café and happy to jump onto the floor when needed.

About the role

  • Prepare consistently great coffee, with strong milk texturing and latte art skills.
  • Confidently handle approximately 5–7kg of coffee solo across a busy day.
  • Adjust the grinder and monitor espresso quality throughout your shift.
  • Prepare cold drinks, including smoothies, juices and iced drinks, or be willing to learn.
  • Take orders, use the POS, serve food and drinks, clear tables and assist customers.
  • Stay attentive on the floor and anticipate what customers need.
  • Keep the coffee station and service areas clean, organised and stocked.
  • Assist with opening, closing and general café duties.

About you

  • Previous experience as a barista in a busy café and a solid understanding of Australian coffee.
  • Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality and cleanliness.
  • Friendly, reliable and proactive, with good communication skills.
  • Comfortable working both on the coffee machine and on the floor.
  • Available for early starts and weekend shifts.
  • Looking for a long-term, part-time position.
  • Have valid Australian work rights.
