Our client is looking for a 2D Art Director to join their creative team on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to lead the visual direction and artistic vision for their projects, working across concept, design, and production. Based on a contract arrangement with a salary range of AUD$100,000 to AUD$130,000, this role offers the chance to shape compelling visual narratives and mentor a creative team.
  • Lead artistic vision and visual direction across all 2D creative output
  • Contract position with flexibility and scope for creative ownership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact visual work
Preferred Requirements
  • Proven experience as a 2D Art Director in animation or similar senior creative role, with a strong portfolio and reel demonstrating visual leadership
  • Expertise in 2D art techniques, illustration, animation, or digital design
  • Ability to establish and maintain a consistent visual style across multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills and experience leading or mentoring creative teams
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and art software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or formal qualification in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related creative discipline
  • Experience working in game development, animation studios, or digital media production
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and people from concept through to final delivery
