We're Hiring: Pottery and Painting Workshop Teacher

About SGC Art Studio:

SGC Art Studio offers engaging pottery workshops where guests can relax, create, and enjoy. Our sessions are beginner-friendly, social, and one-off style experiences.

About the role:

  • Casual, flexible hours (evenings & weekends available). You have flexibility and autonomy to pick when you work
  • Run workshops for groups in pottery, painting, or similar creative mediums.
  • Guide beginners through projects in a friendly, approachable way.
  • Help set up and pack down for classes, keeping things smooth & welcoming.

About you:

  • Confident to teach beginners in pottery (both hand-sculpturing and wheel-throwing) and painting.
  • Love working with people and making them feel at ease.
  • Reliable, friendly, and able to run a room.
  • Teaching experience is desired but not required for the role, we provide training on running the workshops. If you are skilled enough to teach beginners in pottery or painting we welcome a conversation with you

Who We're Looking For:

  • Experience in pottery, ceramics, and painting (no need to be highly advanced, just confident enough to guide beginners)
  • Friendly, engaging, and confident in leading groups
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to create a welcoming, fun, and creative environment
  • You can specialise in pottery or painting, as we have workshops for both. being able to do both is a bonus but not required to work with us.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
