Vacationer Program

Our Vacationer Program is a paid summer internship offering real client exposure, project work, and structured onboarding. You’ll have a dedicated buddy, access to networking and social events, and the opportunity to be considered for an early Graduate offer.

Program Details:
Start dates: November 2026 – February 2027

Duration: 4 - 8 weeks

Eligibility: Penultimate year students, PR or citizen of Australia or New Zealand

About the team

You’ll be joining a group of over 1,000 multi-disciplinary engineers who value learning, collaboration and diverse thinking. At Deloitte, your early-career development is at the heart of our work. By combining strong engineering foundations with an outcome‑driven approach and deep business insight, we work together to deliver end‑to‑end solutions that solve meaningful client problems. The team supports early-career development through coaching, buddy support and hands-on experience.

What will your typical day look like?

Day-to-day, you’ll work proactively with experienced teams to collaborate, learn and build your capability while delivering full‑stack applications, cloud‑native solutions. You’ll contribute to technology projects, software delivery, quality assurance, and broader technology strategy. You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.

Engineering and AI & Data

As a vacationer, you’ll:
work on projects across the public and private sectors, delivering secure, scalable, and fit-for-purpose solutions that create real value for clients using proven approaches
learn and apply cutting edge technology innovations and methodologies, including Generative AI & agent platforms, to help address strategic challenges and real‑world business needs.
be involved across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
design, write, test and maintain technology solutions under the guidance of experienced technology professionals, working across frontend, backend, data and cloud technologies to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

Engineering Managed Services

As a vacationer, you’ll:
support on service management and operational health as well as governance, risk and compliance activities
develop strategic, operational service delivery and ITIL process maturity via continual service improvement
assist to co-ordinate cross functional service delivery teams to a portfolio of clients

Operations, Industry & Domain Solutions

As a vacationer, you’ll:
enhance the administrative, operational and customer experience capabilities for organisations across the banking & insurance, healthcare and government & public sectors
define and support the implementation of optimal operating models, aligning processes, teams, capabilities and technology to exceed customer expectations and achieve business goals
Improve business performance by identifying process improvement opportunities, providing data-driven
solutions leveraging tools that eliminate inefficiencies and enable optimized workflows
