Full job description

Konami Australia is seeking a motivated Illustrator to join our high-performing Graphics team. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating and adapting artwork across existing game series and new content.

About the Role

You will focus on creating and updating illustrated game assets, working across established titles and new variations for domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and adapt existing illustrated asset packages to meet jurisdiction requirements
  • Create and deliver additional base game artwork and series content
  • Prepare and optimise illustrated assets for slot machine cabinets
  • Update base game symbols and in-game artwork as required
  • Create full base game asset sets for jurisdictional variations
  • Produce artwork for game clones and derivative titles
  • Support international signage and localisation updates
  • Collaborate with Graphics, Game Design and Software teams
  • Contribute to project meetings, team initiatives and industry events

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an illustration-focused role (not general design)
  • Strong ability to create original, high-quality digital illustrations
  • Confident working within and extending existing art styles
  • Experience working from existing asset files with minimal handover
  • Experience in asset optimisation and preparing artwork for implementation (highly regarded)
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Able to manage multiple pieces of artwork across projects
  • Works well both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Highly adaptable, quick learner and strong problem solver
  • Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a high-performing team

Highly Regarded

  • Adobe Animate / After Effects
  • Experience with animation, FX or Maxon plugins
