About the Branch/Group
The group enables effective engagement between customers, businesses and government by leading strategy, policy, regulatory design, sector support and service delivery for the benefit of Victorians. It focuses on improving customer experiences through efficient, scalable and digitally enabled services. The Portfolio Strategy, Planning and Performance Division provides strategic direction, evidence-based policy, data insights, governance, evaluation and project delivery capability across Consumer Affairs and Local Government portfolios. The Regulator Innovation Branch leads the design, reform and implementation of regulatory functions, working across government and sectors to develop effective regulatory frameworks, support compliance and drive continuous improvement.
About the Role
As an Administration Officer, you will support regulatory strategy, reform initiatives and the design of new and improved regulatory functions by providing research, analysis, project coordination and administrative support. You will assist with preparing briefs, reports, documentation and governance materials, while maintaining project records, tracking actions and supporting effective delivery of policy and regulatory outcomes.
You will provide high-quality executive and stakeholder support through coordination of meetings, correspondence, briefings and consultation activities. Working in a complex policy environment, you will contribute to strong governance, accurate documentation, continuous improvement and effective collaboration across government and external stakeholders.

About You
We are seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience from the following criteria:
Policy and Project Capability: Demonstrated ability to support policy development, project coordination and delivery of regulatory or program initiatives.
Adaptability and Collaboration: Ability to respond to changing priorities, work across teams and build positive, inclusive relationships.
Critical Thinking and Systems Awareness: Applies research, analysis and sound judgement to assess issues, understand broader impacts and support effective decision-making.
Policy Design and Delivery: Experience contributing to evidence-based policy development, regulatory design, project planning and achievement of milestones.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Ability to build relationships, support consultation activities and prepare clear, accurate briefs, reports and correspondence.
Outcomes Focus and Business Awareness: Maintains focus on priorities, manages competing demands, identifies improvements and supports efficient ways of working.
Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge (Desirable): Experience in regulatory environments, interpreting legislation, developing guidance materials and supporting compliance outcomes.
User-Centred Design Capability (Desirable): Ability to develop accessible, practical and user-focused resources using digital or service design approaches
