About the role
This role will support the planning and delivery of some of the world’s biggest sporting events as part of the NSW Government’s ‘10 World Cups in 10 Years’ initiative, including the Netball World Cup 2027 and Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. You will play an important role in promoting Sydney and NSW as leading destinations for major events while contributing to projects that deliver economic, tourism and community benefits across the state.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the planning and delivery of host city activation projects, including the Rugby World Cup 2027 Fan Village in a major Sydney location, alongside city dressing initiatives and integrated marketing campaigns delivered in partnership with Destination NSW’s marketing division. The role will involve coordinating stakeholders, preparing reports and project documentation, monitoring project milestones and supporting working groups and consultations.
