Marketing Assistant – Bing Chillin

About Us

Bing Chillin is a Melbourne-based dessert café brand known for bingsu, matcha, Asian-inspired desserts and fun seasonal creations.

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our team and help bring the Bing Chillin brand to life across social media, in-store promotions, campaigns and content.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves food, social media, photography, design and branding and wants the opportunity to work on real campaigns and creative projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with marketing campaigns and promotional activities
  • Planning promotions around public holidays, events, seasons and cultural celebrations
  • Helping plan and execute new product and menu launches
  • Creating content for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms
  • Filming and editing Reels, TikToks and short-form videos
  • Taking photos of desserts, drinks, products and store content
  • Helping plan and organise photoshoots
  • Creating posters, social media graphics and promotional materials
  • Supporting loyalty, email and SMS marketing initiatives
  • Helping coordinate influencer and creator collaborations
  • Conducting competitor and trend research
  • Keeping up with social media trends and finding ways to adapt them to Bing Chillin
  • Supporting customer engagement and database growth
  • Helping coordinate local-area marketing activities
  • Scheduling and organising social media content
  • Analysing campaign and social media performance
  • Working closely with management and store teams to execute campaigns

Skills and Experience

What You’ll Need

  • A genuine interest in marketing, branding, social media and hospitality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A good eye for visual content and design
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creativity and willingness to bring new ideas to the table
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
  • An understanding of Instagram, TikTok and current social media trends

Highly Regarded

  • Current or completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Design, Media, Business or a related field
  • Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or Premiere Pro
  • Photography or videography experience
  • Experience planning or assisting with photoshoots
  • Social media or content creation experience
  • Graphic design experience
  • Experience managing Instagram or TikTok accounts
  • Understanding of email and SMS marketing platforms
  • Basic knowledge of digital advertising and analytics
  • Experience working with food, hospitality, fashion or lifestyle brands

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of professional marketing experience.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, proactive and genuinely excited about building brands.

You might be studying marketing, design or communications, working freelance, creating content on the side or looking for your first opportunity to gain real experience in the industry.

We want someone who sees a trending TikTok, new dessert launch or upcoming holiday and immediately starts thinking:

“What could Bing Chillin do with this?”

You should be comfortable bringing ideas to the table and then helping turn those ideas into actual content and campaigns.

Portfolio Required

We care just as much about what you can create as what is written on your résumé.

Please include examples of your previous work when applying.

This could include:

  • Instagram or TikTok accounts you’ve worked on
  • Reels or TikToks you’ve created
  • Photography
  • Videos
  • Graphic design
  • Posters
  • Branding work
  • Photoshoots
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Personal creative projects

A portfolio website, Instagram page, TikTok account, Behance page or Google Drive folder is completely fine.

Applications with examples of creative work will be highly regarded.
