About us

CBH is a leader in the Australian grain industry and the country’s largest co-operative. Our work has meaning and is creating an exciting future - we’re delivering WA’s grain to the world. Our advanced logistics network stretches across the State, connecting the growers of WA with our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth in different roles and locations.

Ready to make an impact on a global scale with a local company?

We are CBH. We are what you’re looking for.

The Role

As the Lead – Asset Management, you will be responsible for driving the performance, reliability and safety of CBH's critical assets, including equipment, machinery and infrastructure. This role oversees asset integrity, failure management, loss elimination and precision maintenance initiatives, ensuring assets operate efficiently and deliver maximum value to the business.

Working closely with operational and maintenance teams, you will develop and implement strategies, systems and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, reduce downtime, prevent failures and optimise asset lifecycle performance across the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive asset integrity and reliability strategies across critical assets.

  • Lead failure analysis, loss elimination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Apply reliability engineering methodologies to improve asset performance and uptime.

  • Monitor asset health and performance data to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Optimise maintenance strategies, planning and precision maintenance practices.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to maximise asset reliability, safety and efficiency.

  • Provide reporting, insights and recommendations to support business performance.

About You:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification coupled with experience in asset management, reliability engineering, or maintenance management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Skilled in asset integrity, failure modes, and reliability-centred maintenance

  • Knowledgeable in precision maintenance techniques; alignment, balancing, lubrication, and condition monitoring

  • Exposure to CMMS and/or other asset management software

  • Strong project management, task prioritization, and timeline management skills

  • Exposure to CAD drafting software would be advantageous
