The Role

Reporting to senior members of the development team, you will assist with:

  • Undertaking market research, site due diligence and acquisition analysis
  • Reviewing planning controls, zoning, development potential and approval pathways
  • Supporting site acquisitions and transaction due diligence
  • Coordinating architects, planners, engineers, quantity surveyors and other consultants
  • Managing design development and value-management processes
  • Assisting with development applications, planning approvals and authority requirements
  • Preparing project budgets, cash flows, programmes and development reports
  • Monitoring project costs, risks, revenue assumptions and financial performance
  • Supporting funding, investment and internal approval submissions

  • Monitoring construction progress, programme, quality and commercial outcomes
  • Working with sales, marketing, leasing and property management teams
  • Supporting settlements, project completion, handover and post-completion activities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities, investors and other key stakeholders

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Approximately 3–5 years’ experience in property development, construction, project management, planning, property advisory or a related discipline
  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Development, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Planning, Engineering, Property Economics or a related field
  • Exposure to residential, mixed-use or other property development projects
  • A sound understanding of the property development lifecycle
  • Experience assisting with feasibility analysis, budgeting, planning or project delivery
  • Strong financial, commercial and analytical capability
  • The ability to coordinate multiple consultants and project workstreams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • A proactive attitude and genuine interest in building a long-term career in property development

Experience using feasibility software such as EstateMaster or Forbury, together with strong Excel skills, will be highly regarded.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to the complete development lifecycle
  • The opportunity to work on significant residential and mixed-use projects
  • Direct mentoring from experienced Development Managers and senior industry professionals
  • Hands-on involvement in feasibility, acquisition, planning, design and delivery
  • Clear career progression towards a Development Manager position
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Opportunities to take increasing ownership of projects
  • Exposure to complex commercial decisions and investment strategies
  • Competitive remuneration based on experience
  • Ongoing professional development and training

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious property professional seeking meaningful project exposure, strong mentorship and a clear pathway to becoming a Development Manager.
