Full job description

Assistant Manager - Arthur Restaurant

Arthur is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team as we reopen in July following a full venue renovation and refresh.

With Arthur undergoing a full renovation throughout June, we’re looking for someone to join the team in July as the restaurant launches its next chapter with a brand-new look and updated concept. This is a rare opportunity to step into a refreshed venue from day one and help shape its future.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role across all areas of the business. Because we’re a small venue, this position offers exposure to many different aspects of restaurant operations, making it an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being deeply involved in service and team culture.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with strong beverage knowledge and a genuine passion for wine, cocktails, and hospitality-driven guest experiences.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations
  • Leading service and maintaining high hospitality standards
  • Staff training and development
  • Beverage service, wine knowledge, and drinks-focused guest engagement
  • Assisting with rostering, ordering, stock control, and venue administration
  • Helping shape systems, culture, and service standards as the venue reopens

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous management or supervisory experience in quality hospitality venues
  • Brings strong beverage knowledge and enthusiasm
  • Leads calmly and confidently on the floor
  • Is organised, proactive, and hands-on
  • Enjoys working within a small, close-knit team
  • Wants to contribute ideas and leave their mark on a growing venue

Why join Arthur?

  • Be part of an exciting venue relaunch and refurbishment
  • Opportunity to help shape a refreshed concept from the ground up
  • Work closely with a passionate and experienced leadership team
  • Small team environment with broad operational exposure
  • Supportive culture focused on hospitality, quality, and growth

If you’re excited by the idea of joining Arthur for its next chapter, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Employee discount

Work Location: In person
