About us
Youth Justice is responsible for the statutory supervision of children and young people in contact with the criminal justice system in Victoria. Children and young people who are involved in Youth Justice are either supervised in the community, or within custodial services. Youth Justice works with children and young people to address their offending behaviour and help them achieve positive change in their lives; and works closely with families, stakeholders and service partners to promote opportunities for young people's rehabilitation.
What you will do
As administration officer, you will provide high-quality administration and coordination support to the workforce strategy and support team.
You will help the team deliver workforce programs through accurate records, data and day-to-day support.
You will:
- provide high-quality administration support, prepare documents and produce reports
- maintain accurate workforce data, spreadsheets, records and document registers
- coordinate meetings, workshops and team events, including papers, bookings and follow-up actions
- manage shared inboxes, respond to enquiries and refer matters when needed
- support workforce projects, improve efficient processes and follow relevant laws, policies and procedures.
About you
A tertiary qualification in human resource management, organisational design, workforce planning or a similar field is desirable.
You should also have:
- strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills, including advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables and charts
- critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and make informed decisions
- the ability to use data to prepare reports and support planning
- effective communication skills, an inclusive approach and the ability to build positive working relationships.
