- Help protect habitat for threatened species including the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, Long-nosed Potoroo, Orange-bellied Parrot and Swamp Skink
- Enjoy a unique field-based role combining biodiversity monitoring, wildlife management, pest animal control and conservation project delivery within one of Victoria's most ecologically significant landscapes.
- Work in our collaborative Regional Conservation Team and in close collaboration with the local French Island Team
About the role
As a Conservation Officer - French Island, you will support the delivery of on-ground conservation programs across French Island, with a particular focus on the Feral Cat Eradication Program. - Demonstrated experience delivering routine and moderately complex on-ground services and projects under general supervision and as part of a team to achieve agreed outcomes.
- A current Victorian Driver's License.
- Proven capacity to identify and implement operational improvements in service and project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to interact courteously and constructively with park users, contractors, volunteers and partner groups while supporting on-ground activities.
