The Accounts team are responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of all Australia Zoo Group financials. The tight knit team work closely together to ensure all KPI’s and objectives are met in the most professional way possible.

As the Cash Handling Officer your primary responsibilities will be cash handling inclusive of daily banking, change orders and petty cash maintenance. In addition, you will be exposed to all areas of the accounts office and will provide support primarily to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Officers.

To be successful in this position, you will be professional, work collaboratively within a team and work great in a fast paced environment. You will be sensitive to the needs of the members within your team, and be happy to assist other staff wherever possible.

Primary Duties Include:

• Resolve any cash balancing discrepancies in daily till counts and POS Systems.
• Daily change orders for Foodcourt and Retail tills.
• Prepare weekly change orders for Australia Zoo.
• Processing daily clearances for Australia Zoo.
• Daily banking of cash.
• Assist with weekly Wildlife Warriors cash banking.
• Daily Fraud identification and cancellation of fraud tickets.
• Investigating and responding to bank chargeback requests.
• Maintain petty cash and expense reimbursement.
• Maintain ATM operations and cash holding.
• Preparation of cash reports as required.
• Continual and ongoing improvement of processes and procedures for cash handling.
• Maintain banking stationery (deposit slips, bank bags etc).
• Maintain online payment portals Windcave, ANZ Wordline.
• Process payments and refunds for online payment portals and online shop.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Australia Zoo eftpos terminals and POS integration.
• Assist with investigating and resolving processing and system errors in POS.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable during AR officer leave.
• Assist with Accounts Payable during AP officer leave.
• Understanding and competency in basic data entry functions.
• General Administration including Photocopying/Printing and collating paperwork.

Essential Criteria:

• Full availability, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
• Hold current Driver’s Licence.
• Satisfactory Australian Federal Police Criminal Record Check must be undertaken prior to employment.
