TheirCare Plus is a registered NDIS provider specialising in delivering inclusive, evidence-informed programs for children and young people with complex disabilities.

We pride ourselves on supporting children and families through high-quality services that are person-centred, safe, and aligned with the NDIS Practice Standards. We work collaboratively with families and stakeholders to ensure every young person receives the support they need to thrive.

We are currently seeking a dedicated support worker to join our team in a specialist school environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in disability support, education, allied health assistance or youth services who are passionate about supporting children with diverse needs.

About your new role:

  • Provide individualised and group-based support for children and young people with complex disability needs
  • Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate programs aligned with participants' NDIS goals
  • Maintain a high level of supervision and ensure safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Work in a collaborative team environment within staff-to-participant ratio
  • Support the daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour strategies
  • Complete documentation and reporting in line with NDIS and internal quality requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training and reflective practice

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in disability services, education, or a related human services field
  • Confidence supporting children and young people with high and complex support needs
  • Strong understanding of person-centred active support and inclusive practice
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safeguarding and quality

Requirements:

  • Previous experience and confidence in the disability support and childcare sector is ideal but not essential
  • Working towards or holding a relevant qualification at a minimum of Certificate III level in one of the following areas: Education, Community and Social Services, Health and Medical, Disability and Aged Care, or Allied Health.
  • Must be available to work service hours: 7:00am–9:00am, 2:30pm–6:00pm, and during school holiday periods (8:30am–5:30pm)
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check valid in Victoria.
  • Valid HLTAID012 First Aid in a Childcare Setting (including First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training).
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Mandatory Reporting Certificate.
  • Proof of Right to work in Australia.
