Job Description
AECOM’s Environment Business is growing to meet the demand of a strong pipeline of exciting projects including wind farms, transmission infrastructure, Defence Estate, resource projects, major rail and road upgrades and mining rehabilitation projects. We support our clients with environmental impact assessments, planning approvals, ecology assessments and sustainability and resilience solutions.
How you’ll make a difference:
- Support major infrastructure projects, including transportation and renewable energy initiatives.
- Apply scientific or environmental knowledge to solve problems and provide technical input
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, and contractors.
- Develop skills in a dynamic consulting environment through project-based learning and communication.

Qualifications
- Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science / Engineering, Environmental Planning, or any related discipline.
- Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
- Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
