Bakers delight jobs in Sydney NSW

We are currently seeking two apprentices to join our teams, with one position available at our Artarmon store in Sydney and one at our Wyoming store in Central Coast.

A Bakers Delight Apprenticeship combines hands-on baking with on-the-job training to earn a Certificate III in Retail Baking. You will learn to mix, mould, and bake bread from scratch while working towards a nationally recognized trade qualification.

Core Responsibilities

• Baking & Production: Measure, mix, knead, shape, and bake a wide range of doughs and bread products.
• Quality Control: Monitor dough fermentation, operate commercial ovens, and ensure product finishing meets brand standards.
• Bakery Maintenance: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety.
• Customer Service: Occasionally assist with front-of-house service, helping customers and restocking display cases.

Key Requirements

• Early Riser: Must be comfortable with early morning shifts, often starting between 2 AM and 4 AM.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, eager to learn a trade, and highly capable of working on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
• No Experience Needed: While previous baking experience is a bonus, it is not required. A positive attitude and a passion for craftsmanship are the most important factors.

Pay: $52,334.43 – $54,071.13 per year
