About the Team
The Reserve Bank of Australia’s Banking Department provides a range of banking services to Australian Government departments and agencies. Our Canberra Branch plays a critical role in delivering these services locally, supporting customers through both digital and traditional banking channels.
As a Bank Officer, you will join a small, collaborative team and report to the Canberra Branch Manager. You will work closely with colleagues across Banking teams, contributing to the delivery of day-to-day banking services and ensuring a high standard of customer support.
About the role
- Provide high-quality customer service, including processing daily banking transactions
- Support the Help Desk for the RBA’s Online Banking Service and assist customers with enquiries
- Maintain internal and customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Perform daily reconciliation processes and reporting activities
- Assist with counter and teller services as required
- Undertake general administrative duties, including records management
About you
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous customer service experience is desirable but not essential
- A willingness to learn and develop
