About the Role We are looking for an experienced Full-Time Bartender to join the team at Rydges Sydney Airport, working across both Smithy's Bar and Cloud 9 Rooftop Bar. A passion for shaking cocktails and love of delivering service with flair and personality is a must.

Smithy's is the go-to spot for on-the-go travellers - a relaxed space with small bites, coffee, craft beers and cocktails from breakfast through to dinner - while Cloud 9 Rooftop Bar offers guests a different experience altogether, sipping expertly crafted Australian cocktails while watching the aviation action of planes taxiing, taking off and landing. This role is perfect for someone who thrives moving between two distinct bar environments and takes pride in their mixology skills, product knowledge, and ability to engage with a diverse, ever-changing clientele.

Skills & Experience

• 1 - 2 years of experience working in a similar restaurant, hotel or bar environment.
• Experience making cocktails with a good knowledge of all things beverage related from the classics to more complex and sophisticated.
• Personable, enjoy working in a busy environment and engaging with guests.
• Good communication, a team player and attention to detail.
• Adaptable and the ability to multi-task and anticipate the guests' needs, including early mornings, late nights and shift work to suit airport traffic.
• Enjoy working in a hotel environment and have the flexibility to rotate across Smithy's Bar and Cloud 9 Rooftop Bar, and support other outlets as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain personal grooming and uphold a clean, safe, and well-stocked work environment in line with hotel standards.
• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service while adhering to all operational, safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge and comply with all preparation and dispensing standards.
• Complete all opening, closing, and cashiering duties accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in all required training sessions to continuously improve service and product knowledge.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
