Full job description

We are seeking a suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver services to our clients, their families, and to support teams by identifying their needs through assessment and intervention.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a range of allied health professionals. The purpose of the role is to provide a holistic and integrated approach and to provide clinical knowledge, expertise, and support to individuals, families, and support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of clients living in their own homes;
  • Maximise client functional capacity and evaluate their options for ongoing care as required;
  • Develop high quality and evidence-based treatment plans;
  • Complete progress notes and requested reports in a timely manner.

Job Requirement

  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis or Allied Health (Social Work, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy) with relevant professional registration/membership;
  • Current BSP practitioner ID
  • Minimum one years NDIS Behaviour Support experience;
  • Working knowledge of authorisation and reporting requirements for restrictive practices relevant to state or territory laws and policies;
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive behaviour assessments, and implementing and evaluating behavior support plans, including restrictive practice;
  • Up to date knowledge of the regulatory context and evidence-based practice;
  • Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as per the role’s requirements.
  • Two professional references.

Pay: $110.00 – $150.00 per hour
