We are looking for reliable, energetic Dog Day Care Attendants / Dog Handlers to join our growing team.

About the Role

This is a hands on, active role working directly with dogs all day.

You’ll help supervise dog playgroups, maintain a safe and structured environment, assist with cleaning and daily operations, and provide a fantastic experience for both dogs and their owners.

No two days are the same, and the role can be physically demanding, but incredibly rewarding for the right person.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and interacting with groups of dogs
• Reading canine body language and managing group behaviour
• Maintaining safe and positive play environments
• Cleaning play yards, rest areas and facilities to a high standard
• Greeting and communicating with customers professionally
• Providing updates and feedback about dogs
• Assisting with feeding, rest times and daily routines
• Reception and booking system support where required
• Assisting with photos and videos for social media
• Working closely with the wider Barkley Park team

• Happy to get their hands dirty, this role involves cleaning throughout the day

Experience working with dogs or in animal care is highly regarded, including:

• Dog daycare
• Boarding kennels
• Dog training
• Grooming salons
• Veterinary clinics
• Animal shelters

However, attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important to us.

Hours & Pay

• Casual and Part Time opportunities available
• Approximately 20–38 hours per week
• Monday to Friday roster
• Shifts between 6:00am and 6:30pm
• Penalty rates and overtime available
• Above award rates based on experience
