What you'll be doing…

As a Solution Architect, you'll partner with the business to design and deliver technology solutions that support the transformation of Virgin Australia's operational applications and platforms. Working across critical airline systems, you'll own solution design from concept through to delivery into support, helping solve complex business challenges while shaping technology that keeps our operation moving.

You'll join a collaborative team that partners across the business to shape technology decisions and deliver solutions that make a real operational impact.

• Partnering with business stakeholders, project teams and technology partners to design practical, end-to-end technology solutions that solve complex operational challenges.
• Owning solution design from business requirements through to successful delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with Virgin Australia's technology strategy.
• Working across applications, integration, data and infrastructure to deliver end-to-end solutions that support operational transformation initiatives.
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, delivery teams and technology partners to navigate complex environments and keep delivery moving.
• Providing architectural guidance throughout delivery, identifying risks, resolving technical challenges and balancing business needs with technology outcomes.
• Support the estimation of the cost to implement and run any proposed solutions (e.g. for Business Cases)
• Supporting multiple concurrent initiatives while building strong relationships across business and technology teams.
• Contributing to architecture standards, reusable patterns and continuous improvement across the Technology function.

You'll be great in this role if you have…

• Demonstrated experience designing practical, end-to-end technology solutions across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business and technical teams.
• Experience working across applications, integration, infrastructure and data, with the ability to balance business outcomes and sound architectural principles.
• A proactive, outcome-focused approach with the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders and keep initiatives moving.
• Experience working with onshore and offshore delivery teams or managed service providers.
• A collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge thinking, build trusted relationships and drive outcomes.
• Experience with modern integration technologies, cloud platforms or contemporary architecture practices will be highly regarded.
• Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, mining or other operational, asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded.
