At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a Biomedical Engineer to be an essential part of the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) programme team.
About the Opportunity
The Clinical Technology Integration Engineer will be responsible for providing day to day biomedical engineering support for the integration of identified medical devices with SDPR.
This role involves working closely with relevant stakeholders from CCLHD SDPR Project Team, clinical staff, SDPR Implementation Authority (SDPRIA), CCLHD Clinical Technology and vendors to support the SDPR programme to enhance patient care and streamline clinical workflows.
In this role you will:
- Provide high level analysis and support to assist the CCLHDs SDPR team with the delivery of effective integration solutions.
- Provide baseline assessment of existing medical devices on integration status, current interfaces and clinical workflows to guide the SDPRIA development of clinical technology integration strategies for medical devices identified as in scope.
- Lead the upgrade and configuration of existing medical devices to support the implementation of clinical technology integration with SDPR.
- Liaise with stakeholders, particularly with the CCLHDs SDPR project team and the SDPR Clinical Technology Integration Manager to identify interoperability/integration gaps and recommend measures.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Biomedical/ Mechatronics/Electronics/Electrical Engineering from a recognised University, acceptable for Membership of Engineers Australia (as Professional Engineer).
- Extensive experience in the clinical technology/biomedical engineering environment, including demonstrated focus on medical IT systems and equipment integration.
- Demonstrated ability of recommending and evaluating biomedical equipment integration protocols, strategies and coordinating deployment.
- Excellent high-level of verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach.
- Proven ability to show initiative and work in a team environment to foster collaboration of ideas and continuous integration improvements.
