Full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is one of Victoria’s leading public health services, providing a comprehensive range of acute, subacute, general, and specialist services across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. As a key partner within the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, we are committed to advancing healthcare through innovation, research, education, and excellence in patient care.
Our Clinical Nutrition Department comprises approximately 50 dietitians and nutrition professionals who deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care across acute, subacute, and community services. We foster a collaborative and supportive environment that values professional development, teaching, quality improvement, research, and staff wellbeing.
About the Role:
As a Nutrition Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic and experienced team supporting comprehensive clinical nutrition services across a broad range of specialties.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support for HEN services
Support dietitians in patient care and monitoring
Clinical support, under supervision of general medicine patients
Deliver person-centred, culturally sensitive care
Contribute to quality, safety, and efficient service delivery
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualification in Nutrition/Health Sciences/Biological or Chemical Sciences/Fooid Science/Food Technology or similar
High level organisational skills, computer literacy, time management and administration skills
Ability to follow instructions, under guideance, of the relevant health professionals
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
