The Department
The Medical Oncology Unit provides coordinated multidisciplinary management for adult patients with malignancies. An important component of this care is the Clinical Trial and Research activities we participate in, which enable us to offer forthcoming investigational treatments to our patients.
The Role
This position supports the large clinical trials team, ensuring they are conducted safely, ethically and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice according to regulatory requirements. Assisting with general administrative work that pertains to Medical Oncology trials, you will be required to process biological specimens including the collection, receipt, storage, documentation and tracking of samples.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Tertiary degree in Medical Laboratory Science or biomedical science
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Excellent computer skills and ability to set up and manage new technology with external vendors
- Ability to prioritise workload within established policies, guidelines and procedures
