IT Resilience Manager
IT Resilience Manager
Job details
Full job description
Your new company
We’re partnering with a leading organisation to find a Resilience Manager who combines technical credibility with business acumen. This is not just about frameworks—it’s about making resilience real, automated, and embedded across the business.
You’re someone who thrives in agile environments, understands resilience across small, medium, and enterprise settings, and can confidently engage executives while diving into technical detail. You’re passionate about building resilience strategies that work—not just on paper—and you know how to tailor your approach for different organisational contexts.
This role will lead technology-driven initiatives that strengthen organisational preparedness and response capabilities. You’ll own the uplift of business continuity (BCP), disaster recovery (DR), and incident response (IR) practices, ensuring they are robust, automated, and aligned with industry standards. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies that support executive decision-making and board-level reporting.
Your new role
- Lead the development and continual improvement of resilience frameworks across BCP, DR, and IR domains.
- Drive automation of resilience processes and integrate technology solutions for efficiency and assurance.
- Facilitate simulations and workshops for technical and non-technical audiences, including executive teams.
- Deliver security awareness programs and resilience training across the organisation.
- Provide metrics, KRIs, and reporting to inform cyber strategy and support board-level visibility.
- Collaborate with IT Risk & Compliance, Enterprise Risk, and Technology teams to embed resilience practices.
- Ensure alignment with ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, and regulatory frameworks such as APRA CPS 234.
- Experience: 5+ years in resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, or incident response.
- Exposure to small, medium, and enterprise environments, with the ability to tailor approaches for each.
- Familiarity with AWS environments and resilience automation concepts is highly regarded.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience leading BCP/DR simulations and incident response exercises.
- Ability to engage at executive level, translating technical detail into business outcomes.
- Knowledge of resilience frameworks and regulatory standards (ISO 22301, NIST, APRA CPS 234).
- Agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and tailor approaches for different organisational contexts.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong purpose-driven culture.
- Influence resilience strategy at a group level while delivering hands-on improvements.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and make a tangible impact on organisational preparedness.
- Flexible work arrangements (9-day fortnight or hybrid options) within a Brisbane CBD office.
