Boilermaker - Sydney

Responsibilities:

  • Read and work from blueprints, drawings and technical docs
  • Measure, mark and prep materials ready for welding
  • Set up your gear — welding machines, gas torches, power tools
  • Cut and prepare metal surfaces (grinding and other prep as needed)
  • Assemble frames and structures to spec
  • Weld using the right technique for the job
  • Check your own work — every weld meets standard, finished product inspected for defects
  • Keep your equipment and tools maintained and in good nick

Qualifications:

  • Certificate/diploma in welding, or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • Welding experience in a construction setting
  • Confident reading blueprints, drawings and technical documents
  • Skilled at using and maintaining welding equipment
  • Solid knowledge of welding techniques and materials across different jobs
  • White Card

Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour
