We are a high-quality early learning centre dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment where children can thrive.

We are currently seeking a passionate, reliable, and organized Childcare Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be the heart of our kitchen, responsible for planning and preparing nutritious, delicious, and age-appropriate meals that fuel growing minds and bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, healthy breakfasts, morning teas, lunches, and afternoon teas for children daily.
  • Design and implement rotating seasonal menus that align with National Quality Standards (NQS) and dietary guidelines for early childhood.
  • Strictly manage and cater to diverse dietary requirements, including severe allergies (Anaphylaxis), intolerances, religious practices, and cultural preferences.
  • Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety, including keeping detailed Food Safety Program logs.
  • Manage kitchen stock, ordering, and budgeting while ensuring minimal wastage.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a cook (experience in a childcare, school, or care facility is highly regarded).
  • Qualifications: Must hold a relevant Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher qualification).
  • Certifications: A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Compliance: A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and relevant police checks are mandatory for this role.
  • Skills: Excellent time management, strong understanding of childhood nutrition, and strict attention to detail regarding allergies.
  • Attitude: A warm, friendly demeanor with a genuine passion for supporting children's health and wellbeing.
