Café Chef
Are you a talented Café Chef ready to bring authentic French breakfast, brunch, and pastries to life? Join our vibrant kitchen team! We are looking for a dedicated professional to manage our high-volume daily production and busy weekend service.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience).
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid legal right to work in Australia (evidence required).
- Proven experience managing high-volume kitchen production.
Duties:
- Prepare French breakfast, brunch items, and café savoury dishes.
- Bake and finish French pastries, viennoiserie, and plated desserts.
- Lead menu development and seasonal specials with the owner.
- Oversee stock rotation, ordering, and ingredient management.
- Train junior kitchen staff and ensure strict HACCP compliance.
What We Offer:
- Full-time position: 45 hours per week over 5 days. (Weekend work is essential)
- Salary discussed at interview based on experience.
